Order Terms

Every headstone we make is a unique piece, engraved to measure with the name, photograph, dates and message the family has chosen. These are not off-the-shelf items — no two are alike, and a piece already engraved for one family cannot be sold to another. This page explains what that means in practice, so that you know exactly what to expect before ordering.

Prior approval — our guarantee

Before producing any piece, we always send a preview of the design (photo, text and layout) for approval. Nothing is engraved without your «yes». We ask for no advance payment — only after you approve the design do we move on to production and charging.

Right of withdrawal (in Portuguese law, «direito de livre resolução»; returns)

Because they are goods made to measure according to the customer’s specifications, our personalised headstones are not covered by the 14-day right of withdrawal that applies to distance purchases of off-the-shelf products, under article 17.º(1)(c) of Decreto-Lei n.º 24/2014 (Portuguese decree-law). Once the design has been approved and production has begun, the order cannot be cancelled on account of a simple change of mind.

This does not mean that you are left without protection: prior approval exists precisely for this reason — it guarantees that we only produce what the family actually wants, before any payment commitment.

Defects or non-conformity

If the piece arrives with a manufacturing defect or differs from the design that was approved, we take care of the correction or replacement at no additional cost. Simply contact us by WhatsApp or email with photos of the problem, within the legal warranty period.

Payment and timescales

Payment is made by MB Way (the Portuguese mobile payment system), only after the final design has been approved. After approval, production and delivery typically take between 7 and 14 working days, and we keep you informed by WhatsApp at each stage — production, packing and dispatch.
